Due to our continuing effort to provide our patients with the most modern, timesaving tools, Marysville Orthodontics will now be utilizing an intraoral scanner to perform digital impressions. We are a digital impression practice!
Our digital impression system, the iTero® Element™ 2 Scanner, is a state-of-the-art digital impression equipment. With our scanner, we can digitally capture a detailed 3D model of your teeth and gums. Not only is this process far more comfortable than the old putty based impressions, but it’s faster and can offer a superior clinical endpoint.

The putty, often referred to as “goop,” was long viewed as a necessary evil in quality orthodontic care. With our new intraoral scanner, a quick scan of an individual’s mouth provides full color, high-resolution images. These 3D scans can be used to facilitate efficient treatment planning via digital communications between doctors and patients. In addition, these scans can be sent directly to clear aligner manufacturers, such as Invisalign®, and you can expect faster turnaround time for your perfectly fitted custom clear aligners.
